Stop the Bleed is a 1.5-2 hour certification class which covers Stop the Bleed curriculum, including principles of immediate response, safety, the ABC’s of bleeding, compression techniques for controlling bleeding, proper tourniquet application, and wound packing. We will also discuss appropriate bleeding control supplies, both as prepackaged kits and options for compiling your own customized bleeding response materials. This course includes hands on practice with tourniquet application and wound packing. All successful participants will receive Stop the Bleed certification.

For a more comprehensive course, this class can be combined with a 1.5 hour Triage class, which covers mass casualty incidents, classification/coding criteria of victims, application of assessments for care, discussion and small group practice scenarios.
